Buyer
Ahhh smell that fresh air in your own private yard and walk around barefoot on the cool, fresh cut grass sipping a warm glass of sun tea...sounds good, doesn't it? Yeah, you're ready to be a homeowner.
Or maybe it's time for a bigger house...or even a smaller house!! Whatever kind of house you want, I will find it for you. And together we will navigate the 'Journey of the Home Buyer'. It sounds like a novel, doesn't it?
Well, it kind of is...let's start at Chapter 1:
Chapter 1 - Secure the funds to buy your dream home
So we need money before we can start. Like hundreds of thousands of dollars, that's all. I'm sure people are just lining up to hand out money like that...well, actually they are! That person is our trusted mortgage lender. I work with some of the best local lenders in the industry. Local lenders really make a difference in the quality of the transaction and they never let me down. We will start with a mortgage application and go from there. If credit repair is needed, the lender will set up the plan to get it back in shape. Once the credit scores are ready we find out our buying power. How much can you afford? What payment are you comfortable with? All these things get figured out before we home shop so you know exactly what you're getting into.
Chapter 2 - Start home shopping online and in person

This website has a direct feed to the MLS, which is the same application I use to search for homes and upload
my current listings as a REALTOR®. It shows real time updates. I also love using the Homesnap app on my phone. I will show you how to use it, too. Once we find some homes that look like possibilities, we go and check them out! I love looking at homes. I'll go everywhere to look at them-St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, Montgomery, Pike, Jefferson, St. Louis counties...been to all of them more than once. If you want the active city life with friends, food and fun, we go east...want more privacy and like to gaze at the twinkling stars in the dark night sky, we go west. As we are home shopping, I am always eyeing the house for major defects so you can be an informed buyer before you write an offer. I won't let you make a big mistake and miss something crucial!
Chapter 3- Write the offer

We go through each page, each paragraph in detail while comprising a strong offer. It's a lot of information but I condense it down so you understand what you are reading and what you are signing. They accepted our offer!!! YES! Now we move through the inspection phase and the appraisal phase and in the background we are setting up utilities and getting all of your addresses updated on all of your accounts. Packing and planning for the big move. It is all a process and we go through it step by step.
Chapter 4- Closing Day

The day arrives, we've got all our ducks in a row. Bringing money to closing? Is it a cashier's check-check!
Payable to the title company-check! Who is the remitter on the check? It better say your name-check! We don't like surprises on closing day so I'm working weeks out to make sure nothing pops up that could cause a delay. Oh and there's our trusted lender with the loan docs, looks like we're ready to pass out the pens and start putting some ink to paper!
I'm ready to take this novel and read it cover to cover with you if you are committed to buying a home. Let's talk about your goals and get started on Chapter 1!
